The new Wear Resistant steel nozzle has better quality with more wear-resisting ability, which has a narrower and finer point. When the filament is being deposited onto the previous layer, there are fewer contact points for the nozzle tip to push down or flatten the still pliant plastic. Great upgrade to my MK2s to allow for steel nozzles to be used so abrasive filament can be printed. Tiertime offers a nice selection of quality nozzles for the upgrade in addition to what you get with the kit. Good prices and nicely packaged. I really like doing business with the Tiertime store.
